I can't get that excited by the physics and handling of pCARS just yet. The cars in iRacing to me seem that much more engaging. I think the last build especially really turned me off... something wasn't right at all.
The company I'm working for now (CherryCherry) did the graphics- the whole thing used 16 projectors and the renders were output at 3k and 30fps. Pretty awesome stuff.
We're doing another massive projection along the same lines for HP in New York.
After lap 13 I got a 1:00:7, which is pretty good I'd say (are we talking the roadster or cup? This was in the roadster). I'll try and keep consistent laps for awhile and then try my luck online. For now I'll probably do some more ghost racing as I have very little experience with online racing actually, and this should help to get my confidence up.
Loving the MX-5 Roadster and Cup. I've been doing some 'ghost' racing at Okayama Short (Cup) but probably won't participate in any proper races until I can get my laptimes into the 1:02s... my best time there is a 1:03:0 something.
Any of you guys using Stephane Turpin's Motion Cockpit view? Thoughts?
Also, Steve Mosher's comments in an earlier thread there seem the most interesting to me. He co-wrote a book following climategate called 'Climategate: the CRUtape letters'.
I've been enjoying driving the Atom but am still in the process of setting things up correctly (wheel, graphics etc). I've noticed that frame rate suffers when there are a lot of trees on screen, for instance. Also having logging in issues (sometimes the game will start, sometimes not). Graphics- especially car models, are lovely but sounds seem pretty basic right now.
Moose, did you play the other Elder Scrolls games? I'm only asking because I'm wondering how different Skyrim is compared to the earlier ones, which I sunk way too many hours into. I'm a bit worried that Skryim is maybe more of the same, which I would find pretty boring at this stage.
